Sphere Alumni Fellowship
Sphere Alumni Fellowship
The Sphere Alumni Fellowship builds on the foundation of Sphere Summit to restore a spirit of civil discourse and engagement through a six‐month fellowship program exclusively for Sphere alumni.

About
The Sphere Alumni Fellowship, formerly known as Sphere 100, is a full‐scholarship professional development program designed for Sphere alumni. Offered twice a year as spring and fall cohorts, this six‐month fellowship program kicks off with an opening in‐person weekend retreat in Washington, DC, and continues with regular virtual sessions. Benefits include room and board for the opening in‐person Summit, a $500 travel stipend, six months of professional development, classroom resources, and a chance to secure modest funding to help support new projects, programs, and classroom curricula.
About Sphere Alumni Fellowship
The Spring cohort of the fellowship begins April 11–13, 2025, in Washington, DC, at the Cato Institute. Fellows will participate in deep‐dive conversations with leading policymakers and scholars, attend advanced workshops on classroom application with leading practitioners, and hone their projects with mentors and alumni advisors. The weekend concludes with a project pitch competition in which winning fellows present their project ideas and secure the funding necessary to help bring the projects to life in their communities.
Over the course of the following six months, Sphere Alumni Fellows will regularly meet via Zoom with their mentor, alumni advisor, and fellowship cohort to discuss progress on their projects and have exclusive opportunities to engage with scholars to receive further professional development. At the conclusion of their fellowship in October 2025, Sphere Alumni Fellows will produce a final report on their project and its impact. Outstanding projects will be eligible for awards and recognition during a closing virtual session.
